Our Team
The Lumera team is made up of compassionate veterinary technicians who intentionally chose this work. They lead with their heart, backed by experience; so they can show up for every family in need.
Rhianne
A passion for furthering the career of veterinary technicians and her deep appreciation for veterinary hospice & palliative care guided her to create Lumera Care Collective.
She listens deeply, speaks gently, and meets people exactly where they are, whether they are feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or grieving. Rhianne brings peace not only to the families she interacts with but also the veterinarians she supports.
Rhianne is a Certified Pet Loss & Grief Companion and is currently pursuing her Hospice & Palliative Care Certification with the IAAHPC.
When she's not working, you'll find her curled up with a good book, painting pet portraits, or tending to her beloved indoor plant collection.

Brandy
Brandy Teall graduated from Seneca College in 2005 with a Veterinary Technician diploma and spent many years working in both fast-paced emergency medicine and busy general practice clinics. After stepping away from clinical practice to focus on raising her children and operating a licensed home childcare program, she continued pursuing continuing education in veterinary medicine and realized how much she missed supporting pets and their families.
Brandy was drawn to Lumera Care Collective because of its compassionate approach to end-of-life and hospice care. She feels honoured to help families navigate some of the most difficult moments of pet ownership with empathy, support, and kindness, while helping ensure pets remain comfortable and cared for throughout their journey.
Outside of work, Brandy enjoys hiking with her dogs, reading, horseback riding, and volunteering within her local community.
